A super early concept for a game I’ve been dreaming about ever since I played Steredenn and Vampire Survivors and thought: what if this, but in 3D space… and heavier?
VoidBreaker is a 3D space roguelike / auto-battler where you pilot a modular starfighter through escalating waves of enemies. Your weapons fire automatically — your job is positioning, survival, and building devastating synergies.
Everything in the game (except the fonts) is hand-made by me using Godot, Blender, Reaper, LabChirp, and way too many late nights. That’s why it looks a little rough right now. But every model, sound effect, shader experiment, and UI element is part of me learning and building this world piece by piece.
What It Is (So Far)

🚀 Auto-Combat Space Survival – Your ship fights on its own. You maneuver, dodge, and survive.

🔧 Build Synergies, Not Just Stats – Weapons and modules stack in interesting ways. The goal isn’t just “more damage,” it’s smarter combinations.

🌊 Wave-Based Escalation – Every second you linger, the void presses closer. Not frantic… but inevitable.

💀 Roguelike Progression – Runs are fast. Death is expected. Builds evolve.

🧠 Readable Chaos – 3D space with a retro-leaning clarity. Clean silhouettes. Clear telegraphs. Minimal visual noise.
Right now the upgrade POIs are still colored cubes. There’s no run music yet (working on something heavy and atmospheric). Some systems are placeholders.
But the core loop is there:
Survive.
Adapt.
Break the void before it breaks you.
Vision
Dark futurepunk.
High contrast. Neon accents against industrial emptiness.
Cosmic scale without losing clarity.
Not panic.
Not comfort.
Just pressure.

This is a vertical slice / early prototype. Expect rough edges. Expect changes. Expect growth.

v0.1.1 Update
This update focuses heavily on feel and foundational systems.
🚀 Flight System Rework
Space flight has been rebuilt from the ground up.
Movement now feels significantly cleaner and more responsive, with improved control over acceleration, velocity, and handling. The system is now structured to support upgradeable control stats during a run — so ship feel will evolve alongside your build.
🏆 Main Menu Score
Your best score now appears on the main menu.
🧬 Pilot Stats (Foundational System)
Introduced pilot stat categories (currently early-stage):

Perception – affects accuracy and crit chance

Ingenuity – impacts ability costs and ship-related resource management

Charisma – influences upgrade costs and other economic systems

G-Force Tolerance – affects speed while rotating/turning (functional)
These will become upgradeable during runs in a future update.
